BASIS FOR KEEPING THE RECORD AND THE PURPOSE OF PROCESSING THE DATA

A record of the members and contact persons of the Tampere Region Festivals association is kept
for the purposes of management, care, maintenance and development of the customer
relationship and other pertinent relationships; for the purposes of targeting, analysis, production,
provision and development of services as well as market research and other statistical purposes.
Tampere Region Festivals may use the data for marketing purposes as well as for the targeting of
marketing, as permitted by law. Customers have the right to define the contact persons to be
recorded in the Tampere Region Festivals’ customer record for the account in question.

DATA CONTAINED IN THE RECORD

The data stored in the record does not contain personal data, insofar as it is not necessary for the
current or potential customer relationship. The record may contain the following data:
First and last name
Mobile phone number
Email address
Task and/or position in the company
Opt-out from direct marketing

REGULAR SOURCES OF DATA

Personal data is collected during the customer relationship and during the work done to build a
potential customer relationship. Further data can be collected with the data subject’s consent
(e.g., by using cookies), from the population register and other third-party registers. Data can also
be collected in connection with various marketing actions, such as events.

DISCLOSURE OF DATA

Tampere Region Festivals can disclose data as permitted or required by current law. Due to the
technical or operational realisation of the data processing, some of the data may be located in the
systems of the Tampere Region Festivals’ subcontractors, or the data may otherwise be processed
with the help of a technical interface. The association does not transfer personal data to countries
outside the EU or EEA.

DATA PROTECTION PRINCIPLES

The personnel of Tampere Region Festivals and any third parties acting on its behalf have a duty of
confidentiality in relation to all customer data. The processing of the data is protected with user-
specific IDs, passwords and access rights. The data contained in the record is kept in a secured
environment.

RIGHT OF ACCESS AND REALISATION OF THE RIGHT OF ACCESS

The data subject has the right of access to their personal data contained in the record. Exercising
the right of access once a year (12 months) is free of charge. On the basis of the Personal Data Act,
the data subject has the right to access the data pertaining to him/her which is kept in the record.
Access to the data must be requested by a personally signed document or in person at the
premises of the data controller. The controller’s contact information can be found in sections 1
and 2 of this notice.

RECTIFICATION AND DELETION OF PERSONAL DATA

The data subject has the right to request the rectification or deletion of their incorrect,
incomplete, unnecessary or outdated data by notifying the data controller (the contact person
mentioned in section 2 of this notice). The data subject’s data can be deleted from the record at
the data subject’s request.

We use cookies in our online service. Each cookie may be valid either for a single session or for a
longer period of time. A cookie is a small text file that is saved on a user’s device when he/she
visits a web service using a browser. The Tampere Region Festivals online service uses cookies and
third-party cookies to improve and personalise the user experience, to collect information on the
number of visitors to the service and on the most popular content, and to identify visitors who
frequently visit the website.
