Tampere Region Festivals works in close co-operation not only with event organizers but also with cities and municipalities, the cultural sector, corporate partners, and other stakeholders. Read more about our partners!
Finlayson area
The historic Finlayson area is one of the City of Tampere’s most fascinating hubs for culture and business, and it also serves as a home to numerous events.

Municipal collaboration
Some of the most important partners for Tampere Region Festivals are the cities and municipalities in the area. They enable both the operations of festivals and the actual network as well.
City of Tampere is an important co-operative partner that assists us with an annual partnership allowance. In addition, we collaborate internationally with the City of Tampere through the European Festivals Association’s EFFE Seal network, which brings together distinguished European festival cities and regions. The association’s municipal partners also include the City of Sastamala, whose flagship events feature the internationally renowned early music festival Sastamala Gregoriana, the Days of Old Literature, and numerous other cultural attractions.
Our partner municipalities have access to training sessions, workshops, and events organised by Tampere Region Festivals. They also get first hand information on all the projects we run and the latest news in the festival scene. We also collaborate in marketing for example at trade fairs.
The Cultural and Events Industry
Tampere Region Festivals has a vital role in bringing together people from the fields of culture, events organising, projects and festivals. Nationally our most important partners are for instance Tapahtumateollisuus ry (Event Industry Finland) and Finland Festivals as well as advocacy organizations, foundations, and funds within the cultural sector. In terms of cultural tourism marketing and development, our closest partners are Visit Tampere and Visit Finland.
Education and Training
As a development organization, we actively collaborate with local educational institutions. Projects we have participated in in recent years include TAMK’s TAOTAO project, the University of Tampere’s “State of Emergency and Resilience in Event Economy Organizations” project, and Humak’s “Pathways to the Experience Economy” initiative. In addition, we have led the Joint Congress Festival Project involving the University of Tampere, the City of Tampere’s congress operators, and various festivals.
Tampere Art Tram pop-up programme
Art thrives on tracks! Tampere Region Festivals has collaborated with Tampere Tramway Ltd Since 2022 and produced free pop-up performances on the art tram.

Corporate collaboration
On the business side, our long-standing networks include the Tampere Chamber of Commerce, where the association’s executive director represents festivals on the Events and Tourism Committee.
Wild ideas – welcome!
Over the years, we have carried out numerous creative collaborations with various partners. One of our longest-standing projects is the program production we have developed with Tampere Tramway Ltd for the Tampere art tram. Since 2022, rotating pop-up performances have been organized in co-operation with different festivals and cultural actors, bringing art onto the tracks and joy to the everyday lives of city residents.
