Aitoon Kirkastusjuhlat is a three-day music festival held in the village of Aitoo, in the municipality of Pälkäne. The event, also known as “Kirkkarit”, originally started as the annual celebration of the local volunteer fire brigade back in 1882. Over the years, it has developed into a popular music festival intended for the whole family, with a programme consisting of some of the most renowned Finnish pop, rock and Schlager music. The festival is run entirely by volunteers, and the proceeds are used for the development of the Aitoo volunteer fire brigade’s work and the village community.
