The Finlayson Area is known for its diverse cultural offerings and events. More than a hundred businesses also operate in the area, including shops, restaurants, cafés, and offices.
A wide range of events are held throughout the year in the historic factory setting, most of which are free for visitors. The area offers excellent surroundings for both visitors and event organizers to experience and provide cultural events that are accessible to everyone. At the Finlayson Area, the aim is to make organizing events as easy as possible. Autumn Brimming with Light and Culture
In the autumn at the Finlayson Area, visitors can enjoy atmospheric and free light festivals, for example, changing lightings of Itäinenkatu and the factory chimney, as well as the popular Projio light festival. There are also various other events, such as the Kuolevainen (Mortal) project, starting in November.
