Aitoon Kirkastusjuhlat is a three-day festival that has been arranged since 1882 in Aitoo village in Pälkäne. Originally the festival started as an annual celebration of the local voluntary fire brigade, and the event is still based on voluntary work, and the yearly income is used developing the village community and its fire brigade’s rescue work. During its long history, the festival has developed into a well-known and established popular music festival. The programme of ‘Kirkkarit’ is based on Finnish pop, rock and schlager music, and its warm and cosy athmosphere attracts the whole family.
