Tampere Theatre Festival is one of the most prominent festivals of theatre and performing arts in Europe. The festival showcases the most exciting current productions of Finnish and international theatre groups. In addition to the main programme, the festival’s side programmes fill the city with a number of theatre and street circus performances, excellent concerts and various exhibitions, panel discussions and seminars. The multi-art urban event Tapahtumien yö (The Great Nocturnal Happening) is also held annually during the Tampere Theatre Festival week.
